Terms and Conditions 

D&D Carpentry & Construction - Terms & Conditions

1. General 1.1 These Terms & Conditions govern all work undertaken by D&D Carpentry & Construction ("the Company"). 1.2 By accepting a quotation and proceeding with work, the client agrees to these terms.

2. Quotations & Pricing 2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. 2.2 Quotations cover only the work specified. Any additional work or changes requested by the client will incur extra charges, which will be agreed upon before commencement.

3. Deposits & Payments 3.1 A 30% deposit is required before work commences. Work will not be scheduled until this payment is received. 3.2 The remaining balance is due within 7 days of completion of the agreed work. 3.3 If payment is not received within this timeframe, a late payment charge of 5% of the outstanding balance may be applied for every 14-day period it remains unpaid. 3.4 All materials supplied remain the property of the Company until full payment is received.

4. Completion & Snagging 4.1 The Company aims to complete work within the agreed timeframe, but delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. 4.2 The client must inspect the work upon completion and raise any genuine defects within 5 days. 4.3 Minor snagging issues will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe, but this does not justify withholding payment. 4.4 Snagging issues must be documented in writing with photographic evidence where applicable.

5. Additional Work & Extras 5.1 Any work not included in the original quotation will be charged as an extra. 5.2 Clients must approve additional work and associated costs in writing before work begins. 5.3 Refusal to pay for agreed extras will be considered a breach of contract.

6. Cancellations & Refunds 6.1 If the client cancels the job after work has commenced, any deposit paid is non-refundable, and the client may be liable for costs incurred up to the point of cancellation. 6.2 If the Company cancels the work for any reason, a full refund of any deposit paid will be issued.

7. Liability & Warranty 7.1 The Company guarantees workmanship for 12 months from completion, excluding general wear and tear or misuse. 7.2 The Company is not liable for pre-existing structural defects or unforeseen issues arising during work.

8. Dispute Resolution 8.1 In case of a dispute, both parties agree to seek resolution through mediation before pursuing legal action.

By proceeding with work, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
